:: Christmas - what does it mean to us ?:
This word has not only one meaning for sure! At least not just for
us, in each family, in Germany, the entire world ? Everywhere in the world there areso many different christmastraditions, and that not only because it are other countries - other customs -, no, also
the times themselfes have changed, the old traditions. Althought we all have old delivered traditions and rituals, the are going to be appearing slowly. What must be not unconditionally incorrectly, to my
opinion, although I believe, that everyone should adapt his very own celebrating to his special rhythm.
In our family it was principly so, that our personal Christmas - tradition in the course of the years of the living together with my
husband, my children and both dogs - createt its own character as well. Each person in this world has the probably the largest stress in the entire year in the short time before
Christmas. Therefore, you try - if you´re smart - to spent the mst relaxing, and casual and cozily days like possible over the Holidays. That is, we spend the largest part actually only in our
narrowest families circle, one eats breakfast cozily together (when the children more older, it can get quite a bit problematics, cause you sure will
discovers once again, how nice it can be together alone :) After a wonderful breakfast my husband and me taking our doggies for a Christmasmas, which we do not so pretty much often. We are both feeling so well after that
walk, cause we cannot spend those walks together over the week.
Then we go, to our tradition, at one holiday to Mc Donalds (yes, correctly read). In early times because of the children, because they found that so crazy and we not
often did that, today, we go out of “Tradition”.Next day, we mostly take our dinner at our favorite Chinese restaurantecause we all love the crunchy ducks with curry
they make :) For all those days over the Christmas Holiday we are of course inviting our dear Grandma, Kurts Mother, spending her days and dinners together with us, cause she is alone all over the year. She loved it all the
years to spent her Holiday with her beloved Grandchildren Kirsten and Anne.
*Merry Christmas to all of you *
